As a couple of Beer Drinkers, we’re always excited to try out a hidden oasis near us, and that’s exactly what we found at Namu. For those who don’t know, Namu is a bar, restaurant, and coffee shop with a cozy fenced in garden for enjoying your refreshments. The beautiful and relaxing garden is sectioned off so there’s plenty of nooks and crannies for you and your friends to hang out in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Drinks
Namu doesn’t brew their own beer, but they make a strong point to carry local and popular craft beers. I tend to enjoy brown ales, ambers, and other full bodied beers, and that’s exactly what I got. I wasn’t disappointed by any of their beers or the service.
They carry a rotating menu of delicious beers with a wide variety of styles on top. Additionally, they have several coolers of cans and bottles if that’s more your style.
The Food
They describe their food as a “unique food experience is a culture exchange between our Korean heritage, American upbringing, and the Food Truck culture that pushed us to innovate the foods that we love.” Clearly with that in mind, they carry a large menu of full entrees and lighter fare. If you’re looking for easy-to-eat bowls, they have many dishes for you.
They also carry many desserts, pastries, and coffee shop style baked goods.
The Experience
Namu has a few unique aspects you’ll enjoy. First, you can order beer and food directly to your table using their online ordering. They use a table numbering system, so they’ll always find you. We found their food delivery to be exceptionally fast!
Second, there are so many nooks that it feels like there are several rooms outdoors for you to always have a quiet space to enjoy your beer and food. Many of the areas are segmented by bamboo or other plants.
Finally, they boast a wonderful water feature that includes a fish pond and waterfall in the center of their largest outdoor space. The trickle of the water makes the entire area more relaxed.
